Dr Temitope Ilori is the first female Director General of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS in Nigeria (NACA). She hails from Osun State and holds a BSc and MSc in human nutrition & dietetics and a Medical degree from the University of Ibadan.
She is a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians and a PhD Fellow of the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. She was a Senior Lecturer in the University of Ibadan and a Consultant Family Physician before her appointment as Director General, NACA
With over 40 publications in esteemed scientific journals, she demonstrates a strong dedication to research.
Beyond academia, Dr. Ilori boasts of a successful track record in policy formulation and strategic development, highlighted by her tenure as Commissioner for Health in Osun State from 2011 to 2014.
Dr Ilori is an excellent team player with desirable leadership qualities who has served as an executive member of various professional bodies such as the World Organisation of Family Doctors (WONCA), Nigerian Medical Association, Society of Family Physicians of Nigeria, Medical Women Association of Nigeria and Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria. She is a Board of Trustee Member of the Foundation for Care of Mentally Ill (CAREMI) and a Patron of the Asido Foundation.
